Studies & Simulations
BAC conducts analyses and computational simulations to determine how buildings perform in different situations.
The main focus is on fire studies and wind tunnels. Both are based on numerical models resulting in significant savings in the design and build phase or in existing buildings to optimise maintenance.
Fire engineering determines the temperatures of all the structural members to assess and optimise their fire protection or their intrinsic performance as temperatures rise. These studies are rounded off by a mechanical thermal analysis and an analysis of major deformations or collapse.
The numerical simulation of wind tunnels determines wind pressures on a building and analyses its dynamic performance; it also studies the systems used in the facade to optimise the building structure and external walls.
BAC provides clients with a team of engineers and the most advanced tools for simulations of:
