Construction of the bi-national road from Pucallpa (Peru) to Cruzeiro (Brazil)

Sector: Transport
Years: 2011 – 2013
Description: The main conditioning factors of the project are the terrain where it is located, crossing the Ucayali River, primary Amazon forest and uncontacted indigenous tribes. As a result of the latter the layout was amended in the south to distance the road from the Sierra del Divisor and the Isconahua Reserve so as not to impact on these primitive tribes.

Expeditions were organised along the Abujao River and participatory workshops were arranged to inform the population about this Project.
