BAC Engineering Consultancy Group carries out the geotechnical campaign of the Ruta del Cacao Concession consisting of the construction of the Bucaramanga – Barrancabermeja – Yondó highway, in Colombia, and led by the Ferrocol Santander Consortium.
Developed works consist on the research with drilling machines for the installation of inclinometers and the execution of soil pits in field and performing of soil mechanical test in our ONAC accredited laboratory too.
The development of this new corridor with approximately 152 kilometers has an estimated total investment of $ 2.6 billion Colombian pesos, around 880 million euros.
This project includes rehabilitation and improvement of existing roadways as well as new construction sections to create a corridor of approximately 152 kilometers, of which 95 are double lanes (two lanes for each direction) between Bucaramanga and Barrancabermeja.
The infrastructure will have two tunnels (with a total length of 5.96 kilometers) and 34 newly constructed viaducts and bridges.
