SOCOTEC is now accredited to measure sound insulation
SOCOTEC has completed its accreditation as a monitoring body in the prevention of noise pollution (EC-PCA accreditation).
The accreditation as a supporting body seeks to ensure quality techniques and companies dedicated to measuring and assessing noise pollution
BAC, a SOCOTEC Company has been accredited as a monitoring body by the Catalan Government for the prevention of noise pollution (EC-PCA accreditation). The accreditation covers “Measurements of sound quality in construction (QE)” with the following sub-areas :
- Measurements of airborne sound insulation between locations,
- Measurements of impact sound insulation,
- Measurements of airborne sound insulation for building facades.
The accreditation as a supporting body seeks to ensure quality techniques and companies dedicated to measuring and assessing noise pollution, which entails both organisational and quality requirements as well as technical requirements with regard to staff and the availability of teams.
Catalan Decree 176/2009 of 10 November approving the implementation of Spanish Law 16/2002 of 28 June on the protection against noise pollution set out the list of bodies for the prevention of noise pollution as supporting bodies to the local Government.
