BAC expands its services in thickness measurement in naval structure adding the certification as supplier for the classification societies: RINA and ABS.
The department of NDTs in naval structure of BAC has increased its services, adding the certifications for thickness taking by ultrasound (UTM) of the Italian classification societies (IACS) italian RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) and american ABS (American Bureau Shipping). This certification does not have any restrictions on the weight or size of the vessel, which enables BAC to be able to carry out this work in any vessel that has either of these two societies as a classification society.
These certifications are in addition to those that BAC has been renewing for more than 10 years, currently having the distinction of official supplier for taking thickness through NDTs with the following IACS:
- Bureau Veritas
- Lloyd’s Register
- Det Norske Veritas (DNV GL)
- RINA
- American Bureau Shipping (ABS)
This certification allows us to carry out our work in 80% of all ships that transit worldwide, being able to offer our services anywhere in the world.
