BAC will carry out the quality control of the bridge rehabilitation works located between the municipalities of Ultramort and Verges on the road C-252
Infraestructures.cat has awarded BAC the “Service Contract for technical assistance for quality control of extraordinary conservation works. Bridges and structures. Rehabilitation of the C-252 road bridge over the Ter river, from PK 10 + 700 to 11 + 300. Section: Ultramort – Verges. Code: CG-12058 “.
The bridge has its origins in the early 20th century, but only the south ramp and the pillars remain from the original work. The rest is a much more recent work, from the late second half of the 20th century. It is 400 m long and is made up of a double structure: the central part (214 m), supported on eight pillars, separated by 30 m from each other, and the ramps at the ends, supported on nine arches of about 6 m wide each. The bridge is made of concrete, although the south ramp has lowered arches and is externally lined with stone bound with mortar.
