ICIASA BAC participates in the END’s workshop organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Quito

Abel Domato, general director of ICIASA, has moved to Quito, Ecuador as a specialist in Non-Destructive Testing by the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) to give a workshop on the application of ENDs in construction projects and civil works. The course was taught together with Dario Foppoli, a specialist coming from Italy and belonging to the AIPnD.

The participants were specialists from countries such as: Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Costa Rica, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

During the week theoretical sessions were held at the University of the Armed Forces of Ecuador, ESPE and practical sessions, analyzing unique buildings such as the Basilica the National Vote in Quito or the headquarters building of UNASUR in Mitad del Mundo. This course is included in the 4-year project of the IAEA for ARCAL in development for Latin America of non-destructive tests.
