ICIASA, a company belonging to BAC Engineering Consultancy Group, has recently presented in the Annual Global Meeting organised by FETSA (Federation of European Tank Storage associations), ICIASA RBI (Risk Based Inspection). This is a predictive maintenance application intended for the petrochemical industry and based on the API 580 standard.
This tool allows every operator of any petrochemical storage plant to introduce the predictive maintenance for their facilities as well as in the life cycle of the equipment. ICIASA RBI provides the possibility to assess the risk conditions and suggest the appropriate measures before arriving to high risk levels, which directly relates to the prolongation of the useful life of the equipment without forgetting the monitoring of the risk and how to control it.
ICIASA RBI includes two application modalities. In the first one, the technical assistant team of ICIASA helps the client performing the risk analysis of each tank or equipment. On the other hand, in the second one the client is the one who acts and uses the software independently.
