We are pleased to announce that BAC Engineering Consultancy Group – Colombia, in partnership with G-Consulting, has successfully completed the technical, administrative and financial audit of the new “Tropicario del Jardín Botánico de Bogotá” construction contract.
The Tropicario will be composed of six exhibition halls that will have efficient systems of bioclimatic architecture and energy consumption. Its primary function is the protection of the flora that grows below 2,400 meters of altitude. This is achieved through the creation of environments that recreate the natural conditions of different weather in the country by preparing grounds and installing systems that regulate the temperature, light and humidity conditions. The approximate area of the new Tropicario will be 3800 m2.
This is a significant project not only for the city but for the country, allowing the entity’s consolidation as an important center for the conservation and protection of Colombian flora.
